UnGodly thought

When struggling with ungodly thoughts Many Christians struggle with a life of thought while struggling with ungodly thoughts. It is a battle of imagination and mind. Creating problems. Thoughts that create disturbances may be about attacking others or may be sexually motivated. False thoughts enter the mind but those sinful thoughts can lead directly to sin if not done properly and immediately.  The longer those thoughts are in the mind, the stronger they become and become deeper and deeper in the mind.  If this war ends in defeat, it’s only a matter of minutes before it starts:  remember this.  If someone plays with these godless problematic thoughts by saying that I will carry on with these thoughts at any time they are just doing a stupid act. ( This is what happens to those who are: a thought comes and is enjoyed and it slowly leans the mind to its side .  Then that inclination creates a kind of desire. It creates a great appetite. This hunger drives us towards nostalgia and nostal

lonely

When feeling lonely When we crave human relationships, we experience loneliness when it is not available. But we need to know the difference between a feeling of loneliness that goes beyond our control (e.g. we are lonely due to illness or disability) and a feeling of loneliness caused by not being able to relate properly to others. We must never forget that nothing can prevent us from having a relationship with heaven when we are lonely by the circumstances of life. We can have a friendly relationship with friends even when we are alone with others even if we are locked up without a relationship. The Christian who lived in a nursing home said, I spend all my time with God, but I live. “Yet many are lonely, not because of their circumstances, but because of their inability to communicate properly with others. It is said that  in this demanding world in which we live, friendship can be enjoyed by anyone who gives a lot of loneliness.  If you want friends, the best way to become friends

God Tests Your Faith through Difficulties

When your with is shaken Do you ever have days when nothing seems to go right? I once heard about a guy whose apartment was flooded from a broken pipe in the upstairs apartment. His manager said to go rent a water vacuum, but he couldn’t—his car had a flat tire. He changed it and went inside again to phone a friend but got an electric shock from the phone. That startled him and he unintentionally ripped the phone off the wall. During that time, the water damage had jammed the door to his apartment, so a neighbor had to kick down the apartment door. While all this was going on, somebody stole the guy’s car—but it was almost out of gas. He found the car a few blocks away and had to push it to a gas station to fill up the tank. When he got back home, he discovered that four of his canaries had been crushed to death by falling plaster in his apartment. After slipping on the wet carpet and badly injuring his tailbone, this guy began to wonder if “God wanted me dead but kept missing.” Even i

Talking to God is Better than Talking to a Friend

Image
Talking to God is Better than Talking to a Friend Land of Wellness I cry out to the Lord with my voice; With my voice to the Lord I make my supplication. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble. Psalm 142:1 (NKJV) Do you have a hard time talking to God? Do your words fail you when speaking with our great and awesome Creator? Do you find it easier to talk to one of your friends whom you can actually see? Friends are amazing, especially those who point you to God, but wouldn’t you rather talk to someone who sees all and knows all? When we talk to God, He hears us. We’re told to pray about everything, to bring him our burdens, and to give thanks. We also have the example of Jesus, often praying to His Father. How much time do you spend talking to God vs talking to a friend? How often do you take your worries and concerns to God instead of venting to a best friend? Even in our own Bible study groups we can turn to complaining and griping instead of taking it all

How to Keep a Prayer Journal so You’ll Use it Daily

Image
FAITH ·  PRAYER ·  PRAYER JOURNAL ·  SCRIPTURE WRITING  3rd February SIMPLE IS THE KEY: HOW TO KEEP A PRAYER JOURNAL As with every daily practice, there are many ways to make keeping a prayer journal more detailed or in-depth. I’m going to share with you how to keep a prayer journal that you will be able to stick with. These first 3 steps are a basic outline of what I do every day—no matter what. This is my quiet time with the Lord. And what I never realized before was that every single person has equal access to this open line of communication with God. You don’t need to attend seminary school or be baptized. Anyone can talk to the Lord and He will talk back–you just have to be willing to listen. A WANDERING MIND Some people can simply pray in their mind and talk to God that way, but I get way too distracted and start thinking about my future career or how I need to shave my leg, ss. My mind  always  wanders. Writing out my prayers has brought about freedom in my relationship with Chr

Signs God is Transitioning You

Image
BY TEPHILLA JOANNA  What are the  signs God is transitioning you ? Because sometimes we meander along in this life, happy and content and confident in the path God has shown us. Then all of a sudden, when we least expect it,  we just aren’t quite as sure as we used to be . Know what I mean? This happened to our family not too long ago. You see, once upon a time, I believed we would always be CHRISTIAN PEOPLE  Not because I thought homeschooling was God’s plan for every Christian family, but because I felt so strongly that it was what He wanted for  our  family, and I had a hard time imagining anything different related my career  But then our family circumstances began to change. Is God redirecting us? Does He have a different plan for us during this season? Most importantly, which one is  His best  for us at this point in time? So we debated both options back and forth. We discussed. We evaluated. And we covered the whole process in lots and lots of prayer. You probably know you need

Trust in GOD

Your Feelings are Lying to You. Trust God Instead. (+9 Scriptures to Manage Emotions) Learning how to trust God is tough, especially when your feelings are going haywire. Find out three lies we often believe that are often based on feelings, and how to start trusting God instead. Your feelings are lying to you. You feel like the world is flat, but it is round. You feel like you are standing still, but you’re spinning lightning fast into space. How feelings lie to us as humans In like manner, feelings about life can be deceiving.  Being wrong feels the same as being right – until you know better. It might feel okay to hurt someone because you’ve been hurt. It might feel okay to lie, depending on the situation. It’s easy to see how letting feelings run our life can quickly run it into the ground. Sadly, we see evidence of this every day in the news – people hurting other people because, to them, it  feels  right. If you have no basis for what truth is, your entire life will b
